First Day of School

School is back in session. Woohoo! It's funny to think that a year ago I was crying when I dropped him off on his first day but today I was there on time, dropped him off in his room, and then tried to figure out what all I could get done in the few hours that I had.


Hunter was so excited about going to school. Since he woke up, he was talking about school, his new teacher, and his friends. When we got to school he wanted to walk inside and carry his backpack on his back. So cute! As we got closer to the door, he changed his mind and wanted me to hold him. Ha. We walked in the room, said hello to everyone, and after a minute, Hunter said bye and walked off to go play with the others. Oh my little boy.

After school Hunter was exhausted. His teacher said he only slept for an hour (he usually sleeps for 3 hours). He was happy to see me and was telling me about his day on the way home. Here's what he did today (from the teacher)... "We had a wonderful first day of school in the cow class. We went to movement with Ms. Sue, played outside, and colored a picture. In circle time Ms. Penny blew bubbles and read a Clifford book with a Clifford puppet. It was so much fun." His teacher also commented on how great Hunter did today and how well he played with others.

Hunter was in bed early tonight and was basically begging us to go to sleep. He had so much fun today. I will be curious to see how he does tomorrow now that he is going twice a week. Hopefully he will be excited to have another day there!
