For Hunter’s birthday he decided he would rather go to Sea World than have a big birthday party. We tried to hold off until it got cooler and finally this month Hunter came to us and told us it was time to get Sea World on the calendar. So the next off Saturday Eric had, we loaded up in the car and went to San Antonio.
Gigi and Pops were able to take the trip with us and we all had a great time. The first adventure was to stop at a Buc-ees gas station. I have heard of it but never been. It was an experience.
When we got to San Antonio we went to the Alamo. I hadn’t been before so it was really neat to go see and we watched a really cool video about it. After the Alamo we headed to our hotel.
We stayed on the Riverwalk so it was really convenient to walk down and be on the Riverwalk. We were able to take a tour boat ride on the river. The kids had a blast. Then we met some friends for dinner.
The next morning we woke up early and headed to Sea World. We had a blast!! They rode rides, we watched several shows, we touched sting rays, Peyton fed fish to some dolphins and we saw so many different animals. We spent the whole day there and had perfect weather!!! We couldn’t leave Sea World without their own Shamus! Thanks Gigi and Pops.
We got back to our rooms and cleaned up before dinner. We wanted to eat on the Riverwalk since it being Halloween weekend they were having boats come down the river with people in costumes and music. We were lucky and found a table right next to the water. It was really neat to see.
We didn’t want the weekend to end. We had such a blast. Eric and I realized this was our first hotel trip weekend with the 2 kids. Think that means we need to travel more. Ha.
