Hunter had another dentists appointment because they needed to get xrays. Since he has such an awful gag reflux, they were going to give him some happy gas and get the xrays they needed.
Sure enough the gas worked like a charm and they got the xrays. After reviewing them, the dentist discovered that as of right now, there is only one tooth underneath his “special tooth”. Hunter has a fused tooth and I was hoping that he was going to have two teeth under this one. The dentist said the root was so big, there was no way that tooth was going to come out on his own. We decided that since we were there, it made sense for her to go ahead and pull it.
I had to bribe Hunter with everything imaginable so they could pull this tooth. Finally after some time, he was okay with doing this. He had to drink a cocktail to make him drowsy and then once he was kind of out of it, they gassed him to pull out the tooth. Hunter was a trooper and said he didn’t feel a thing. He was shocked when I told him they gave him shots inside his mouth. Everyone wanted to check out his tooth because it looked like the shape of a heart (with the long root attached). It actually looked pretty cool.
After the procedure I took Hunter to target to pick out a DS game, he got to miss football practice, and he ate ice cream for dinner. At this rate he is going to want them to keep pulling out his teeth. Ha.
The tooth fairy paid extra for his special tooth and left him $5. He was pleased. So another tooth gone.. lots more to go.
