Beach Week 2012

 

What a wonderful beach week. I didn’t want it to end!!  We look forward to Myrtle Beach every year and spending time with the Van Dyke group.  We rented a new house this year and it was awesome. The best house yet.  The 16 of us fit comfortably and there was lots to do.The cousins played great together and the week was over before we knew it.

Peyton LOVED the beach and the ocean. I couldn’t keep her out of the ocean and every time a wave knocked her down, she got up and kept on going. This child has no fear.  Several times a day Peyton would ask to go to the beach and ask to build sand castles, be buried in the sand, or go hunt for sea shells. 

Hunter on the other hand, preferred to spend his time in the pool with his cousins.  He would go to the beach/ocean for a bit and then he had enough.  He was one of the first ones in the pool and one of the last ones out.  This boy loves to swim.

 

We spent most of our time on the beach or in the pool. One night we went to a Pirate show and the kids loved it.  Peyton loved the mermaids and Hunter loved the skeletons and all the pirate action.

We are so blessed to have this opportunity to spend a week every summer with my family all under one roof. It is great to spend some quality time with them and we sure make some special memories.
