11-1-08 Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone! Hunter had a BLAST today. Our day started by going to a playgroup Halloween party. He loved playing with his friends and eating candy. Then we came home, took a nap, and then put his fireman costume on for trick or treating. We went over to our neighors house, Ronda, where Hunter has been practicing "trick or treating" for over a month now. Ha. He went to her door, knocked, said trick or treat, and then ran inside for her candy bowl. It was hilarious. I had to tell him that he can't do that with the other houses we stop at. Ronda spoiled him and gave him a huge bag of treats. So he started off having two bags of chewies, m&ms, and candy corn. When Eric got home we took off for the rest of our neighborhood. He had so much fun going house to house and getting candy. He was a little shy about saying "trick or treat" but he always said "thank you" afterwards. After his pumpkin was full we headed back to the house. We passed out some candy to the other trick or treaters and Hunter loved filling their buckets.

We then headed to Gigi's house to see her and the cousins. Hunter had MORE candy and we visited for a little while. It was way past bedtime so we headed home for bath and bed. I think he was on a serious sugar high because he wasn't wanting to go down. Finally... he feel asleep.
Hunter was so much fun this year. He really understood what was going on and he had such a great time. Our Halloween celebrations are going to continue through the weekend. We have ourplaygroup family halloween party this Sunday at the house. It should be a lot of fun. I love the holidays!
